SUDEEP’s first birth day-13/05/2013

There’s my friend KRISHNAMURTHY and his wife SHRAVANTI celebrating their Son, Sudeep’s first-happy -birthday.

His son Sudeep was born on 13^th May 2012 which seemed like only a few days back, so for all us it is a surprise that how fast the boy ate one full year.

So, on Monday (13^th may), my friend, organised an intimate gathering of few friends and families at their home for celebrating the occasion.

 Though it’s the birth day party of Deepu (Sudeep) , the one-year-old did not seem like enjoying the crowd and looking all around them strangely with a little fear & scary looks and not comfortable throughout event, except enjoying the new dress he wear and the playing with the balloons and colourful things used in the decoration.

Yes, though the baby won't really enjoyed all this stuff, a first birthday party is really for parents and their guests. We had so much fun together and also sharing about each other’s lives...

Here once again, I wish Sudeep a very happy birth day!

Happy New Year friends. Wish you all love, luck and happiness in 2013!

Thanks for your love and support this past year. Time passes so quickly, doesn’t it? It’s hard to believe another year is almost over. Just to review the year 2012, it’s been a mixed year for me. I can very happily say that the year 2012 has been little better on my health behalf. Right from the year 2007, the year I diagnosed with kidney disease, this is the only year in which I have been normal throughout the year without any hospitalizations except the regular dialysis, which I have to undergo with no other choice left to survive. At the starting of the year I had been doing my dialysis at Mahesh hospital until March’2012. Later I have been shifted to BMDC center at King koti hospital and being continued there. I am very happy about this move, because this center offering me a very good dialysis even at cheaper rates by re-using the dialyzers. And am sure my adequacy level has risen to certain extent providing me good quality of life. Also my medication required for maintaining normal blood pressure and intake of EPO etc. has come down which is also the reason for my happiness.

Despite all this I have been facing little difficulty to balance my office timings with the dialysis schedule. The hospital is very far and about 18kms from my office and this is worrying me always as I have to leave the office at least 2 hours early every other day. I can say this is hampering my work for sure and having a bang on my performance. I expect the other BMDC center which is already running at Kukatpally, will start the evening dialysis shift so that I can move to this center to relieve myself from this long either side motor cycle ride and also increase my office hours and abate both the difficulties.

Career point of view, things are going a bit tough these days and my company didn't achieve all that we had set out to and as well facing a stringent competition due to the ongoing slow down in a deteriorating economic environment. In addition to that my work is also not been quite rewarding both academically and financially. This year I have been completely involved in engineering support for order execution. Last year I spent most of my time on R&D. Few projects we have done in R&D turned fruitful and achieved a huge cost reduction of the end product. I guess the kind of thrill & satisfaction anybody get when any project success, will never come by the routine engineering support job. Still, I need to focus on my work and channelize all the tools and methods to improve my performance in the Year 2013. One positive thing which I am happy about and like to mention here is my company has increased the health insurance coverage limit to 2Lakhs from this year onwards which was only 1Lakh earlier. So here is a good news for the people like me who is on continuous medication.

On friends and relatives front, year 2012 is quite gratifying to me. I could meet many of my child hood friends and collage friends whom I had not been meeting for years. I can’t hold myself without thanking friends like SankarMB, Narasimha, Syam, Jagapati, Ladi.Dharma, Venkatrao, Nagaraju, Satyanandam, JJ Rao, S.Mohan, G.Sekhar, Devraj, seshu, venkatesh, kumar, shiva and all the friends who stood in my support and helped me to reinforce my thinking to be more positive in spite of the chronic conditions of this kidney disease. I thank my friend Krishnamurthy especially for all his help that extended to me and all my family during the times of any inconvenience. Also I enjoyed the company of my colleagues at office every day. I feel proud to mention here that I took only 11 leaves throughout the year 2012 and this itself indicates the kind of support I receive from my boss and colleagues, otherwise it would be impossible to work with such chronic ailment. Thanks a ton to my boss especially and best wishes for the year ahead.

All in all, though 2012 was a mix of good and bad, I feel more of positivity because my health is stable and I could able to manage myself. Here's once again wishing you a great 2013!
